What's new in Pablo, newest first.

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Everything that has changed in Pablo, newest first. Small fixes ship continuously; this page records the changes you'd actually notice. For what's coming next, see the roadmap.

OCTOBER 27, 2026 — MEDITERRANEAN MARKET AND PATTERNED TABLES

A new card pack, Mediterranean Market: eleven detailed pixel-art backs from the souk and the harbour — a pierced brass lantern, spice mounds, a painted fishing boat, an olive branch, a tagine, an octopus, a lighthouse, oranges, a fez and a palm at sunset. The Golden Lantern turns up in one pull in a hundred.

Six new patterned tables, the first with a design woven into the felt rather than a colour change: Zellige Court, Bou Said Blue, Harbour Swell, Grandmaster, Oasis and Gold Leaf.

OCTOBER 27, 2026 — A STEADIER ONLINE GAME

A large reliability update for multiplayer:

  • Online games no longer depend on one player's device. Previously, if the player who created the table closed the app, bots stopped moving and timers stopped for everyone.
  • Simultaneous moves — a cut landing at the same moment as another player's turn — can no longer overwrite each other.
  • Turn timers now run on the server's clock, and drawing a card late in your turn always leaves you time to finish it.
  • New on-screen messages when a player disconnects or times out, and when your own connection drops.
  • The results screen now waits for everyone to press Continue (or moves on by itself after a few seconds) instead of the fastest player skipping it for the whole table.
  • Quick Draw matchmaking was rebuilt: players who close the app while waiting are removed within seconds, and every player in a lobby is guaranteed to land at the same table.

SEPTEMBER 14, 2026 — MEDIEVAL FEVER, DUPLICATES AND ODDS

  • New pack: Medieval Fever — white and black horses, a knight, a queen, a castle, a dragon and more, with a 1% Golden Horse.
  • Duplicate pulls now stay in your bag (shown as 2×, 3×) — groundwork for card trading.
  • Every pack now shows its odds before you open it.
  • Pack opening, chip rewards and purchases moved fully onto our servers, closing off a way that chips and cards could be tampered with from a browser.

SEPTEMBER 2026 — THE TUTORIAL REWARD AND A NEW STORE

  • Finishing the in-game tutorial now earns the Brass Compass card back, which can't be found in any pack.
  • The card store was redesigned around a rotating shelf of featured packs that changes every three days, with a live preview of the cards inside each one.
  • Fixes for cutting in online games and for a rare case where a special-card screen could get stuck.

SEPTEMBER 2026 — A NEW LOOK

  • A complete visual redesign inspired by the Tunisian coast, where we first played it: sun-faded colours, zellige tile patterns, and an animated pixel-art harbour on the main menu.
  • Sound effects, a smoother deal animation, a redesigned results screen, and smarter bots that no longer call Pablo on hands they can't win.
  • This website: rules, FAQ, roadmap and support pages.
