FREQUENTLY ASKED

The questions people actually ask, answered directly. If yours isn't here, send it to us and we'll add it.

PLAYING THE GAME

Is Pablo free to play?

Yes. The full game is free — every mode, every rule, no trial period, and nothing about the gameplay behind a paywall. There are optional purchases for cosmetics and an optional Pro subscription, but you can play Pablo forever without spending anything.

Do I need an account?

No — there's a Play as Guest option and you can be in a game in about five seconds. Guest play is genuinely full play, not a demo.

You'll want an account if you want your chips, stats and card collection to survive closing the tab, to appear on the leaderboard, or to play online multiplayer with other people. You can sign up with an email address, with Google, or with Apple.

How do I play with my friends?

Pick Create Room. You'll get a short room code and a share link — send either one to whoever you want at the table, and they join straight into your lobby. Up to six people can sit at one table.

As the host you choose the elimination score and, if the table doesn't fill, the difficulty of the bots that take the empty seats. If you'd rather play with whoever happens to be online, use Quick Draw instead.

How many people can play at once?

Up to six at a single table, in any combination of people and bots. Two players works fine and plays very sharply; four is probably the sweet spot.

What happens if someone disconnects in the middle of a game?

If there are still enough players for the game to be worth continuing, a bot takes over the disconnected player's seat and the game keeps moving — nobody gets stuck waiting. If too few players remain, the game ends and the result is settled for everyone at the table.

How long does a game take?

A single round takes a couple of minutes. A full game — playing until only one player is left standing — usually runs about ten to fifteen minutes, depending on the elimination score the host set.

CHIPS, PURCHASES AND PRO

Is this gambling?

No. Chips are a virtual in-game currency with no cash value. They cannot be cashed out, withdrawn, transferred to another player, or exchanged for money or anything else of real-world value. Winning a pot wins you virtual chips and nothing more.

You can also play the entire game without ever spending real money — chips are earned by playing.

What do chips actually do?

Chips are the buy-in. Everyone at the table pays the same amount when a game starts, and the total forms the pot that the winner collects. Higher difficulty means a bigger buy-in and a bigger pot.

Outside a game, chips buy card packs and table designs, which are purely cosmetic.

Can I buy an advantage?

No, and this is deliberate. Nothing purchasable affects the cards you're dealt, the information you get, or the rules you play under. A rare card back deals exactly the same cards as the default one. The only thing money changes is how your table looks and — with Pro — how many chips a win pays out.

What's included in Pablo Pro?

Pablo Pro is an optional monthly subscription that gets you:

  • No ads anywhere in the game
  • Double chips on every win
  • A gold name at the table

It changes your payout and your cosmetics. It does not change your cards, the rules, or anyone else's game.

How do I cancel Pablo Pro?

It depends where you subscribed. If you subscribed on the website, you can cancel from the Pro panel in the game. If you subscribed inside the iOS app, cancellation goes through Apple's own Manage Subscriptions screen, which the app will open for you. If you subscribed on Android, it's managed through your Google Play subscriptions.

In every case your Pro benefits continue until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Do you have refunds?

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are refunded under those stores' own policies, and you request them from Apple or Google directly — we can't process those on your behalf. For purchases made on the website, get in touch and we'll sort it out.

ACCOUNT AND TECHNICAL

Is there a mobile app?

The website already works on phones and tablets, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. Native iOS and Android apps are in preparation — the roadmap has current status.

Will my progress carry over between devices?

Yes, as long as you're signed in to an account rather than playing as a guest. Your chips, stats and collection live with your account, so signing in on a phone gives you the same wallet you had on your laptop.

Guest progress is stored only in that browser and will not follow you anywhere.

Can I change my display name?

Yes. New accounts get a randomly generated name like WildBandit42, and you can change it whenever you like in Settings. Names are checked against a filter and have to be unique.

How do I delete my account and data?

Send us a request from the email address on the account and we'll delete the account and its associated data. See the Privacy Policy for what's stored and what happens to it.

I found a bug. Where do I report it?

Please do — the contact form has a Bug Report option. Telling us what mode you were in, how many players were at the table, and what you expected to happen instead makes it dramatically more likely we can reproduce and fix it.

Do you have a game I can play offline?

Arcade mode plays entirely against bots, so it doesn't need other players — but the web version still needs a connection to load. Improved offline support is on the roadmap.
